- PodPast.ai has a Free plan ($0/month) and a Pro plan ($12/month, or $108/year). Free follows 2 podcasts and gives you 30 questions a month against your library inside Claude. Pro lifts that to 25 podcasts, 1,500 questions a month, unlimited retention, and 100 transcription minutes. If you need to transcribe a niche show with no transcript available online, one-time Transcription Boost packs add more minutes.
- Does PodPast.ai have a free tier?
- Yes — and it is a real product, not a time-limited trial. The Free plan lets you follow 2 podcasts, indexes the last 25 episodes of each, and gives you 30 questions a month against your library inside Claude. Every answer is cited back to the episode and timestamp. No credit card required.
- What counts as a question?
- A question is one query against your indexed library — asked through Claude via MCP or through the web search interface. The Free plan includes 30 questions a month; Pro includes 1,500 (roughly 50 a day, which almost no one reaches). If you hit the cap, your library stays intact — you simply wait for the monthly reset or upgrade.
- What are transcription minutes and Transcription Boost?
- Most episodes are indexed for free from transcript sources that already exist online. The occasional audio-only episode with no transcript anywhere needs machine transcription, which is measured in minutes. Pro includes 100 transcription minutes every month. If you need more — for example, a long niche back-catalogue — Transcription Boost packs add 1,000 minutes for $10 or 3,000 minutes for $30, as a one-time purchase.
- Is there a refund policy?
- Cancel any time — Pro stops at the end of the current billing period and your library stays on the Free plan. If Pro is not for you, your first month is fully refundable. Transcription Boost packs are refundable within 7 days of purchase if fewer than 20% of the minutes have been used. Contact support@podpast.ai.
